The third round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in Barcelona ended for the team Schnabl Engineering on ranks 14 for Jiri Janak and 18 for Darryl O’Young. Both drivers went trough a difficult weekend at Spain in this years high competitive Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. Especially problems in the qualifying on Saturday impeded a better result in the race on Sunday. ”That’s not what I expected from the Race here in Barcelona”, Darryl O’Young was a bit disappointed with the 18th rank after 14 exhausting laps on the Circuit de Catalunya.

For the season start of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup last weekend team Schnabl Engineering travelled to Bahrain. The team from Butzbach started with Jiri Janak (CEZ) and Darryl O'Young (CHI). „Already last year we started in Bahrain with these pilots", teamhead Sven Schnabl stated, just before free practice on the 5.4 kilometers long track situated in the desert. „Our aim must be a ranking among the top ten. Our drivers have the potential for that."

It was a good final for Team Schnabl Engineering -EMC- PZ Koblenz on 14th October 2007 during the Porsche Carrera Cup at Hockenheim. One ended the season with ranks 10, 12 and 27. Sunny weather and temperatures of 18°C provided perfect surroundings for the 36 pilotes during the final round of the season, in which Uwe Alzen took championship in the end. In lap two it was frenchman Olivier Pla, who had an engine failure and left oil on track. Marcel Fässler from Schnabl Engineering – EMC – PZ Koblenz was the unlucky fellow driving right behind Pla and getting the oil on his front window.

Returning to the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Darryl O'Young managed to continue his great performance of 2006 at once. Technically supported by Sven Schnabl and the car of Schnabl Engineering, which he steers in the Porsche Carrera Cup too, O'Young was in best shape. After winning the title in 2006 the pilot from Hong Kong drove again a race in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.

Recent weekend the final round of the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup was held at Spa-Francorchamps. In the framework of the F1 Grand Prix of Belgium the drivers of Team Schnabl Engineering - LKM - Team Jebsen reached positions 11 and 17. “All told I am content with the final race”, team head Schnabl said. “Due to the guest starters in front of us, we actually took positions nine and 14, which is a placably result to us.”

Good performance - no reward! That’s the way one could describe the race of Darryl O'Young. Jiri Janak managed a good 13th rank and in doing so collected points for his team Schnabl Engineering - LKM - Team Jebsen. The 10th round of the Porsche Mobil1-Supercup in the framework of the Formula One Grand Prix of Italy began promising for Darryl O'Young (Hong Kong). After he started race on the 5.793 kilometres long track from rank 22, he improved to position 15 within the very first lap! “That was sensational”, explained team head Sven Schnabl, “Darryl profited by Jaap van Lagen, who crossed the grid at the start.”
