Martin Ragginger and Jörg Hardt will be at the start of the 7th round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in Hockenheim.

Cup returnee Hardt as well as Ragginger, who actually ranks third in the German Porsche Carrera Cup, will both start for Schnabl Engineering / Parker Racing at the German Grand Prix. With that the German team will compete with four cars.

Full attack instead of holidays

„Actually I wanted to go for a short holiday over the last weekend”, team manager Sven Schnabl laughs about the eventful hours just about some days ahead of the Grand Prix in Hockenheim. “However, the Idea was born to start with two further cars at our home race and with that there was no chance to relax.” Behind the words of the team manager hides a promising package which has laced for the Grand Prix of Germany by the team from the Hessian Butzbach. “"With Martin Ragginger we have one of the best juniors of the Porsche brand cups on board; his three podium finishes in the first four rounds of this year's German Porsche Carrera are proving Martins abilities", Schnabl praises the Austrian. Martin Ragginger fetched his best Supercup result in the 2008 round at Barcelona, where he finished third. “Sven and I have started our successful cooperation with a third rank at the Carrera Cup Race in Hockenheim some month ago”, Ragginger remembers the season opener of the championship. "It would be terrific if we could tie to it now.“

The break is over – Hardt is back
With the 29-year-old German Jörg Hardt a driver returns into the Supercup, who belonged to the leading pilots of the series for half a dozen of years. Six race victories in the Carrera Cup and the Supercup speak for the old hand. "As well as the facts that Jörg was in our team already in 2006 victoriously in the Carrera Cup, took the victory in the 2004 Supercup final at Monza and in 2008 was able to finish two times second within four Supercup races for us”, team manager Sven Schnabl underlines why he trusts on Jörg Hardt at the guest start. "In common with our partners Allianz-Autowelt and the Automobilclub von Deutschland (AvD) we have a promising team for the 7th round of the year in Hockenheim.“

Four cars, two teams
Hardt and Ragginger will participate in their first 2010 Supercup race alongside Tim Bridgman and Thomas Messer. “We can learn a lot from each other”, says Ragginger. “I get along with the 911 GT3 Cup quite well and I think the different brakes in the Supercup will be no problem for me. However, the biggest challenge will be a good lap at the beginning of the qualifying. It is necessary to fetch the decisive tenth of a second on the rubber of the Formula 1, what is completely different in the German Carrera Cup that takes place in the environment of the DTM." - sn
